Thompson\, M.Ed.\, MBA\, as she presents insights from her 2025 article in the Journal of Higher Education and Student Affairs (JHESA)\, titled “Beyond the Glass Ceiling: Career Advancement Strategies for Mid-Level Women in Student Affairs.” Drawing on an in-depth review of literature\, Jalonda explores the complex barriers that mid-level women face in advancing their careers\, including the persistent glass ceiling\, institutional challenges\, lack of support and engagement\, work-life balance struggles\, and the impact of gender and racial discrimination. In this dynamic session\, she will unpack key findings from her article and offer actionable strategies for both institutions and aspiring leaders. Whether you’re a mid-level professional navigating your next career move or a leader committed to creating more equitable pathways\, this conversation will provide valuable tools to foster collaborative\, informed decision-making around career advancement.. Thompson\, M.Ed.\, MBA\, is a doctoral student in the Leadership and Decision-Making program at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and an adjunct faculty member at Salem College. She holds an MBA from the University of Tennessee\, Knoxville\, an M.Ed. in Student Personnel Administration in Higher Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro\, and a bachelor’s degree in biology and psychology from Salem College. With over 20 years of experience as a higher education professional\, she has held various leadership roles in both academic affairs and student affairs. Her previous roles have been in TRiO Student Support Services\, Women in Engineering Program\, academic advising\, multicultural affairs\, student leadership\, and residence life. \n			\n				REGISTER TODAY
