She is a full professor at the University of Oklahoma in the Educational Leadership and Policy Studies Department\, joining the faculty in August 2023. Felecia’s research interests also lie in the role of boards in achieving educational equity\, how leadership is exercised\, constructed\, and viewed in various communities\, and the relationship between Black women and leadership. This session invites student affairs educators to ask a spatial question: where on campus do students experience connection\, recognition\, and full participation? Drawing on narrative research with Black African immigrant students\, participants will practice campus mapping and qualitative assessment approaches for locating where belonging happens and reading that evidence alongside survey data.
