Crafting sustainable careers as graduate students and new professionals

Student affairs practitioners frequently experience compassion fatigue, stress, and burnout in their roles. In this session, we examine how early career practitioners can craft sustainable student affairs careers using lessons gathered from a research-practice partnership. After reviewing our research on how strategies of community care and job crafting may be tools for graduate students and new professionals to support their career and personal wellbeing, attendees will be invited to develop action plans to implement these strategies in their work.
