The statistics on this issue are alarming and there is such an urgent need to educate people on the issues of mental health. The purpose of this conference is to support, advocate, and care for the importance of mental health during a pandemic and navigating a new normal. Participants will have the opportunity to join various breakout sessions on topics impacting higher education, engage in various mindfulness activities, and hear from Dr. Kimberly Poole, Senior Associate Dean of Students at Clemson University, who has over a decade of experience in being a license professional counselor.

During the 2020-21 academic year institutions moved fully online as a response to COVID-19. This created challenges for those who were not familiar with technology. If one was unfamiliar with technology they only had one choice, figure it out. COVID-19 exacerbated the digital divide. In this interactive session, we will discuss ways to address the digital divide, recommended trainings, helpful tips and a live technology demonstration to support those impacted by the digital divide.
