The 3 C’s of Liberatory Leadership
3 September 2026 // 2:00PM – 3:00PM ET
This session equips Student Affairs professionals with practical strategies to navigate the current climate of resistance to DEI and belonging work. Drawing from critical pedagogy (Freire, 1970) and the Social Change Model of Leadership Development (HERI, 1996), the session introduces an applied leadership approach to strengthen inclusive practices at all levels of higher education. The goal is to prepare participants to resist over-compliance, sustain belonging initiatives, and empower students as co-leaders in advancing justice.
