Beyond the Basics: Reimagining Essential Needs Work on College Campuses
20 OCTOBER 2026 // 12:00PM – 1:00PM ET
Essential needs are often narrowly defined as food or hygiene, but student persistence requires a broader, more holistic approach. This session explores how expanding definitions of “essential,” from reproductive and dental care to transportation and technology, can transform support for undergraduate students. Presenters will share strategies for building sustainable infrastructure, cultivating campus and community partnerships, and developing pantries as equity-centered hubs that meet students where they are and foster long-term success.
