Centering Vulnerability: Advancing Leadership and Success Among Black Male Students

Black male student leaders often face pressures that discourage emotional openness. This session reframes vulnerability as a strength, offering student affairs educators strategies to foster authentic leadership, belonging, and student thriving. Through narrative insights, grounded theory research, and collaborative engagement, participants will analyze a case vignette, connect to scholarship, and design practices that integrate vulnerability into leadership and success programs. Attendees will leave with actionable strategies and resources to advance racial justice and transformative student learning.

ACPA2Go registration purchases are final. Registrations can be paid by check, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. All fees must be prepaid. Purchase orders are not accepted. ACPA reserves the right to charge a service fee of US$50 for returned checks. Registrations are non-transferable. The webinar may be canceled or postponed due to insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. In this case, the fees will be fully refunded.
