Thriving While Black: Strategies for Resilience, Belonging, and Success in Higher Education
19 OCTOBER 2026 // 1:00PM – 2:00PM ET
Black women in higher education often navigate unique challenges, from racial microaggressions to systemic barriers, that impact their sense of belonging, professional growth, and overall well-being. This session explores the effects of racial trauma on Black women faculty, staff, and students, offering evidence-based strategies for resilience, self-care, and boundary setting. Participants will engage in practical discussions about creating supportive networks, fostering psychological safety, and advocating for inclusive institutional practices. By the end of the session, attendees will leave with actionable tools to support Black women’s success while promoting equitable and affirming campus environments.
