The Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration program prepares educators to take leadership roles in improving educational systems and advancing student learning and success. The three-year cohort-based structure of the program is ideal for working professionals, and the focus on applied research allows participants to have an immediate impact on the quality of education in their work environments. The program will also engage students, faculty, and other members of the education community through integrated inquiry into issues that span our educational systems. This unique combination of deep understanding, expanded vision, and diverse professional networks positions participants for innovative, entrepreneurial leadership in a complex and changing world.
There are two program tracks. The hybrid, low-residency program includes two weekend residencies per 7-week term and one 1-week on-campus residency in the summer and focuses on administrative leadership. The online program delivers all courses online with periodic synchronous virtual meetings as determined by each class and one week-long virtual residency in the summer. The online program is an educational leadership program and the issue of equity is threaded through all courses.
