ACPA is excited to recruit Graduate Interns to assist with the execution of the ACPA Annual Convention in New Orleans, Louisiana. Convention Interns assist with numerous administrative responsibilities related to the execution of convention and are expected to hold the Intern role as their primary responsibility from 24 – 29 March. Interns can expect early mornings and late nights over the course of Convention, and will work approximately 65-70 hours on Convention duties during the 24-29 March.

 

Length of Term:

24- 29 March, 2023

Qualifications:

  • Must be a current and ACPA member during the length of position
  • Must be a graduate student (masters or doctoral)

Essential Skills:

  • Organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Active listening and ability to take direction and follow convention event orders and plans
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and executing programming and/or initiatives
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at once

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all aspects of convention execution including managing signage, atteende counts, etc.
  • Provide excellent customer service throughout all aspects of convention including through registration and at large events while directing guests.

  • A small stipend for meals during Convention.
  • Parking, if driving to New Orleans, Louisiana.

Travel to/from New Orleans, Louisiana is the responsibility of the Intern.
