Originally established by the American Association for Higher Education (AAHE), these principles have effectively guided assessment for years, but the current landscape—marked by technological change and urgent calls for greater equity and accountability—demands their thorough revision. Over the past year, AALHE revised its principles and rebranded them as ACCELERATE: Assessment Principles for Best Practices. As the new ACCELERATE Principles for Best Practices are distributed and discussed, we encourage you to begin incorporating these standards into your daily assessment work.
