Applications for both of these scholarships are due by December 15th, 2024.
The Convention Flat Rate Scholarship is intended to cover other financial needs associated with Convention other than registration (for example hotel, meals, airfare etc.) as we know that institutions might only fund certain parts of attendance. This scholarship’s recipients will each receive a flat-rate stipend to go towards conference expenses while attending ACPA25.
A qualified candidate must:
– Be a current graduate student (Masters or Doctoral) or in the first 1-5 years of their professional role at the time of the 2025 Annual Convention.
– plan to attend the 2025 Annual Convention February 16-19, 2025 in Long Beach, California.
If you are awarded the Flat-Rate Scholarship, you are expected to:
– Attend conference sessions at Annual Convention 2025
– Attend at least one conference session endorsed by the Graduate Student and New Professionals Community of Practice and either take a photo of yourself at the session or with the sign outside the room. (more details to come)
– Complete a reflection on your ACPA25 Convention experience and how it has has benefitted you as a higher education professional. This can be a written reflection, a video reflection, an Instagram takeover during ACPA25, or another form of reflection as approved by the Scholarships Coordinator
– Provide ALL receipts for expenses covered by the flat-rate scholarship
The Membership Scholarship is intended for grad students or new professionals who are unable to attend Annual Convention due to financial or other reasons. This scholarship will provide a year-long membership to ACPA where folks will be able to access ACPA2GO, the “Journal of College Student Development” and “About Campus”, a network of Entity groups, and resources on the Strategic Imperative for Racial Justice and Decolonization.
A qualified candidate must:
– Be a current graduate student (Masters or Doctoral) or in the first 1-5 years of their professional role at time of application submission
If you are awarded a Membership Scholarship, you are expected to:
– Attend at minimum 2 ACPA2GO webinars within the membership period of 1 year
– Complete a reflection on your ACPA2Go or ACPA membership experience and how it has has benefitted you as a higher education professional. This can be a written reflection, a video reflection, an Instagram takeover, or another form of reflection as approved by the Scholarships Coordinator.
