ACPA is excited to recruit ACPA26 Graduate Convention Interns to assist with the execution of the ACPA Annual Convention in Baltimore, Maryland. We are seeking multiple Convention Interns and one Social Media Intern who are interested in meeting new people, learning from the ACPA community, and serving as a representative of ACPA.
Interns will be responsible for numerous administrative tasks and are expected to hold the Intern role as their primary responsibility from 27 March – 2 April 2026. Interns can expect early mornings and late nights over the course of Convention, and will support Convention experiences for approximately 65-70 hours throughout the week.

Qualifications:
- Must be a current ACPA member at the time of application. Membership must remain active through 2 April 2026.
- Must be a graduate student (masters or doctoral)

Travel to/from Baltimore, Maryland is the responsibility of the Intern.

Convention Intern
Responsibilities
Assist with all aspects of Convention execution, including but not limited to updating signage, delivering/moving items throughout Convention spaces, keeping track of attendee counts, serving in place of volunteers when needed, supporting International Office staff by supporting task completion or completing errands as requested, etc. Most importantly, the ACPA26 Interns must provide excellent customer service throughout all aspects of Convention, specifically at registration and at large events while directing guests.

- Active listening and ability to take direction and follow convention event orders and plans
- Demonstrated experience in planning and executing programming and/or initiatives
- Ability to manage multiple priorities at once
Social Media Intern
Responsibilities
Assist the Director of Marketing & Communication with on-site content creation for Instagram and TikTok. The Social Media Intern will create engaging and visually appealing social media content (images and videos) that highlight the main aspects of Convention. Interact with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster a positive and supportive online community.
Essential Skills
- Experience creating and posting content within TikTok and Instagram (Stories and Reels included)
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging, live-time content
- Experience with creating content for a large online audience or follower count
- Ability to work independently
- Confidence in asking attendees and ACPA leaders to participate in content creation by being on video, within photos, etc.
Note: Applicants for the Social Media Intern position will also be considered for the Convention Intern position.
