OUR purpose
The Commission for Online Experiences & Engagement provides opportunities for professional development about contemporary issues in engaging college students beyond coursework and creating meaningful experiences in a virtual space. COEE will assist in positioning ACPA to be an informed voice on understanding the development of learners, and their changing experiences in an online world.
Our goals:
- To advance the conversation on equity in learning through online spaces across higher education and the relationship between online learning and the experiences of low income, first generation, and historically marginalized students.
- To create a forum for ACPA members to discuss and share ideas, best practices and tips for working in online spaces and to connect with students.
- To contribute to ACPA publications on research and/or best practices related to the online learner and online learning.
- To identify new members based on their interest in online learning and improving the online experience for students.
- To share job postings for online positions in higher education.
- To identify emerging issues related to online experiences and engagement and provide members with access to information regarding current issues and trends.
- To establish awards that recognize ACPA members who are doing outstanding and innovative work with online experiences and engagement.
